Ask Us | Tell Us | Tell a Friend The idea for ServiceForMe.com started in 2006. Brian (the company President) had been having a handyman named Randy do some work around his house for several years. Randy did electrical work, plumbing work, carpentry work, and more. Brian had some additional work to be done when he discovered that Randy was no longer doing any handyman work. What a bummer! Brian was at a loss for where to find help. Then it hit him... Maybe somebody should create a nice website that allows users like Brian to find help such as Randy provided and allows users like Randy to find work by offering their services to consumers like Brian. Brilliant! The website would have to very closely match consumer needs with provider abilities. The provider must be willing and able to do what the consumer needs done. The website would have to consider where the consumer and provider are located. It would not make sense to drive long distances for small tasks. The website would have to allow the consumer and provider to learn a little about each other. The provider would need to understand what the task involves and the consumer would want to have some indication that the provider is capable and legitimate. Enter ServiceForMe.com!
